Cool, thank you!

I had all good intentions of detailing the interior today. There were a lot of crumbs, french fries, and other nasty stuff behind the rear seats from the previous owner. So I tried to fold them down, but the driver's side wouldn't budge. After several hours and a can of Liquid Wrench, I found that the cable that releases the seat on the right hand side had come off the latch. I was able to reattach it but I have a feeling it will come off again.

Part of the problem is that there was a Nintendo DS cartridge stuck in the mechanism as well as an opened silica gel packet. Those seats were a disgusting mess!

While I had the Liquid Wrench handy, I cleaned up the door hinges and bolts. They were starting to look pretty rusty.

Thumbs up Solved mystery knock

Finally solved my mystery knocking sound that I was getting when going over bumps - it was the idler arm! Was underneath changing the oil & filter & was determined to find out where this noise came from, at first assumed I had a ball joint going out somewhere but could not find any play in any of them. Swaybar bushes were fine too, same goes for the control arm bushes. It was only when I started grabbing parts of the steering mechanism & shaking them about that I noticed play in the idler arm - not a lot but i've put a new one on & my knocking noise has gone! Job took under an hour. I think I could have got away with leaving the old arm on for a long time to come but that damn noise was driving me mad - glad i've got it sorted.
Changed transmission fluid & filter, transfer case fluid, & changed oil in both differentials last week so i'm finally up to date with my jobs - hopefully for a while yet!
