Replaced l/h hub bearing....was a PITA..once I got the 3 bolts out, thought it was gonna slide out....nope. Took me a while to figure out how to separate it. Tried using a puller but it just pushed the threaded portion of the CV shaft thru.
Finally was able to get a pry bar on the bottom and it came out.

Planning to do the other side tomorrow. According to the manual, 103 ft-lbs for the axle nut right?

Your lucky you live in VA - you should see how much fun those are to do up here after several 5 month salt baths!

Just did both on my '07 Silverado, 75k miles. Needed the air chisel on both, and still took 10 straight minutes of hammering to get them out.

Whew! Well I finally got my SES light to turn off an stay off after 3 months of mocking me. Everything was fine until it came on with a bad O2. My trusty ELM327 ( BEST $7 I ever spent) tracked down the problem to B1S1. unfortunately I didn't check the forums to realize that BOSCH is NOT the brand to use pre cat and went thru that mess. After returning and getting a Denso replacement B1S2 went bad. Replaced and within 2 days the dreaded P0452 popped up. Dropped the tank to find a small rusticle with a little hole under it at the top of the tank where it curves downward. Patched. A week later P0420!! Wife was still mad that I had taken some tax return $$ (just $400 or so) and rebuilt the front (Moog + Energy Suspension = sweet!) so I got a Magnaflow cat for about $100 and had to make an adapter to fit the outlet. After some cutting an wielding it sounds an runs a whole lot better. Then B2S1 went bad. Had it on the shelf standing by. Its been about 2 weeks now and no SES. Oh, by the way I have read that some people have complained about Blazers eat front brakes. While rebuilding the front I replaced the rotors and pads. When I got to the back they didn't look any different than a year ago but I disassembled them anyway an found that the bracket slide pins totally frozen! After breaking one of the pins trying to get it out I gave up an bought new brackets and pins, greased them up lightly with some synthetic high temp grease (love the stuff but be careful, it will create an air proof seal) and reassembled. I thought I had good brakes but now as soon as I touch the brakes I feel it slowing down much faster than before. My next project is dropping the trans for a clutch/bearing replacement and doing the rear main and pan gaskets. Parts on the shelf already (wife frowns) just waiting for my next vacation at the end of this year to do it.

I haven't had much long-term luck with Denso's either... Last time around I got Delphi sensors, which are good so far. I'm pretty sure they are the same as the OEM Delco's.

Noticed today while riding in traffic...said to myself, "Car next to me sounds like ****...."

Kept riding and thought to myself, "Damn everybody car sounds ****ed up"

Turns out when I replaced the hub bearing, I bent the backing plate and it was rubbing the rotor...my dumbass...

Planning to replace the other hub this weekend

Yeah before getting the blazer monday i was driving an eclipse. used an industrial puller, heating torch, took the axle off and used a press, still didnt come off. finally cut through it with about 15 grinding wheels. saved the knuckle and 4 bolts i needed
