heat stopped working, put in new blower motor and realized it only worked on low.
Went to napa and got a resistor and put that in and it still only worked on low. So I had the heat on high to get what little wind out of the vents we could since its cold here in MN and about 10 minutes later it was at full tilt, and would go through all settings just find and now is working 100%.

I am still confused.

You would think so, but I tested the blower motor when it was not in the housing both before new blower motor and after, and new resistor and after and it only had low speed... Then it just kicked on after about 10 min of driving.

I dont know but I am ready to get rid of this thing.

It's probably the switch, Rich - we had that same scenario unfold on ours last year. By the end of the year I had a new blower, switch, AND resistor ... all failing one after the other ..

well luckily i didn't have to pay for this hood it came on the blazer when i bought it :P but one thing about a cervini's is that they are very well made and match the factory hood fitment very well, not like most cheap hoods out there that don't fit properly

I've been having issues switching between 2wd and 4wd (3 button switch)...mostly that I had to smack the hell out of "2 Hi" in order to get out of 4wd.

So I removed the switch, opened it up, and used 1000 grit sand paper to clean the contacts of the buttons. After that I cleaned them with a q-tip and acetone. Reassembled, reinstalled, and it works flawlessly! Took about 10 minutes.

Normally it would be a good idea to put something like dielectric grease on the contacts to ward off future corrosion, but I live in Yuma AZ which has super low humidity all year round so I'm not too worried about it.

Default New Water Pump

After 25 years - the water pump on my '90 4.3 S10 Blazer finally gave up the ghost. Not bad work considering.
Began by weeping coolant, and making a 'trundling' sound - but after a couple of weeks (with more and more topping up) it finally became a 'graunching' noise and a veritable flood
Time to replace it. Bit of research on-line, and a new one ordered from USAutomotive of Bedford (UK) it was down n dirty time
Simple task, and done in a leisurely 2 hours (plenty of breaks for tea and cigarettes)
So back on the road, and no more leaks or sounds
