Thanks! It's 1/4" thick aluminum, so it should be pretty tough. It definitely took a little effort to bend it with my homemade redneck press brake.

I'm like you when it comes to making my own stuff, there's a lot of satisfaction to it. Nice job. Hope it holds up to any abuse you put it through.

Thanks!

Pretty much everything on my Blazer was built by me. For one thing, it's almost impossible to find bolt-on parts like bumpers, tire carriers, etc. But even if I could buy them, I like the satisfaction of building them and knowing nobody else has the same stuff.

Had to hack up a fix for the window channel .. couldn't find an exact replacement - apparently due to the '74's lack of a window frame there's an extra guide piece on the rear end of the channel. Mine was rotted away.

Speaking of rotting stuff, Blazer time was cut short as I had to redirect my attention to removing this little bugger ... a rabbit tucked himself under the AC pulley on my Vette .. and not only got shredded, but jammed under the compressor.
Which wasn't detected until putrification was well under way of course..
Required the use of pliers, a screwdriver, loops of weedeater cord, angle iron, and a machete (don’t ask) to remove it ...
I lost the head and other bits during the process, hoping they will get blown out during the next trip or it has to go up on a lift.
Clorox rinse helped a bit.....

Got my sliders done and all bolted on think they look pretty good. Will get better pics when I can get to the car wash and it’s not -50c with the wind

Those turned out nice. I'm cold just looking at the pictures, though.

My welder crapped out making them but luckily it was still in the replacement warranty so they just gave me a new one works even better. Excited to get to the car wash and get good pics of it supposed to start warming up next week we have had an extreme cold warning all week. I managed to get them done and on before it got super cold
