Default Installed front E Brake Cable.

I have started the process of putting my 89 S15 Jimmy back together. I started with replacing the front E Brake cable. This was a real PIA. The removal of the cable was extremely difficult as you have to disengage the cable inside the dash with very little room to work. The cable only comes out one way. You have to get the retaining fingers to compress so you can remove the cable. After many attempts with various tools I was able to get the old cable out and the new cable in. The ferrule still had to be positioned into the brake pedal. The ferrule is under spring tension and there is very little room on the brake pedal area. After struggling with how to accomplish this I ended up using a long nose needle pliers and grabbing the end of the ferrule and was able to get the ferrule into the brake pedal slot.

I installed my new rock sliders, since the old ones had seen better days.

Could you add a photo or 2 of the attachment points? Been thinking about adding some...

I'll try to get a couple of pictures today. Basically, they're welded to a couple of short lengths of 2"x3"x1/4" tubing that's welded to 1/4" plates, welded to the side of the frame. They're not going anywhere, lol.

Sorry, this is kind of a crappy picture, but you can hopefully get the idea. The mounts are the same ones I originally had. I just cut off the old sliders and welded the new ones to the mounts.
