well after healing from my 1st round battle wounds *fixing mirror* figured i'd take the bug gaurd off n take her for a nice warm bath...before and after bug guard...i think she looks a little retard eyed w/out the bug guard lol...IMO, but figured i'de just do it, get it done...the screws were soo stuck...had to bust out the wd-40 and wiggle the guard to get it in under the bolts...(all before i figured fk it and snap it off lmao) but it saw the huge screw driver and decided to let it go lol

Good choice!! Lose the silly geriatric looking bug guard .

I swapped out my front headlight corner bulbs for some amber LED ones. I had just clear white ones in there. looked pretty silly with the turn signal on.

Well yesterday I finally got rid of my serpentine belt squeak... I took the cheap route and just put some belt dressing on it, now it doesn't sound like a POS with nice corner lights when I'm sitting waiting for my girlfriend to come out of the classroom building at school lol.

My hood release seems to have decided to stop working. It takes me about 20 tried of pushing on the hood and pulling the release to get it to work right.

Took it in to the Chev dealership to see what they though. They think i need a new hood release cable and a new primary hood latch.

Cost me $40 to get it looked at, and they gave me an estimate of $406 to fix the release.

no no try this first, mine was doing the SAME thing..let the hood go..and it'd stay shut, lol had to pry it open...get it open and put wd-40 all over the hook and latch point... and work it around and have some one there to pull the release a few times and see if thats not it...i did the same..my mechanic was like...nope most places would replace it..i just give'er some lube and good as new... dont take it to a dealership..tke it to a small off teh beaten path mechanic..they do most any thing much cheaper than a dealership garage..if that is the propblem could probabaly have it done for a small fraction of that..haggle...i learned that too haggle your way to a lower price with a small garage mechanic..tell him well...i'll price check a few places cause i could probably find cheaper..or ask if thats the lowest he'll go (if there any thing like my mechanic..CHEAP..new intake gasket and a tranny seal 450$s...my chev dealership wantes 900 for the SAME thing..and ouwld have taken 2x's as long..

I did actually take it to a small business mechanic before this.

Thing is, for the past 4-5 months every time I opened my hood I hosed it with Silicone lube. Didn't make a difference, Even had someone pull the release while spraying it.

After going to the mechanics I drowned it in WD-40 again.

By how it feels when you pull it, there is hardly and tension on the release at all. So I would have to think that something is disconnected in there.

Either way, for $406 I'm not getting it fixed. ATM anyway...
