what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
well..........since i had to drive to get the part (in my Blazer), and had to drive over to my youngest brother's bosses shop (in my Blazer) to do the heater core in his '94 Jimmy, i'm gonna count it as something i did today-or is it yesterday????
i just got in (it's 1:57am here), so much for an early evening! not my brother's fault, the wife just couldn't get out of the office on time tonight.
boy i forgot how easy those 1st gen's are for the heater core replacement. i'm so dreading the day mine fails in the Blazer.

We should have 2 stickers - one for export & one for RHD. Not that I can see why the RHD should be any different from the LHD.
Sticker on back says 'assembled in Mexico'
We are also metric down under. BUT ours are only labelled RHD (not export)! Unless GM only considers Canada as Export!

Changed out both battery cables and fixed the blue wire that runs to the starter (was a bit chewed up toward the end). Nothing big but needed to get done. Good thing I can do whatever I want at work when it's slow, get paid to work on it haha.
Got my billet grille put on finally and an oil change. Last time it was due I had no time to do it myself so I made the mistake of taking it somewhere. The moron went nuts on the drain plug with the air wrench. Last time I ever make that mistake. So I got a visual upgrade, oil change, and life lesson- all in one day! Yay.
Well my left front caliper froze up the other day so today i took everything apart. Found out that i needed new pads on that side because of it seizing up ( I had no choice but to drive it while the caliper was siezed.) so then i rode a bike up to the store, got new pads, fixed the seized caliper and now Im on my merry way. Monday is going to be all new balljoints and hopefully my shackles.
Left front wheel bearing on my Rainier started making noise Wednesday and progressively got worse. It still felt tight and the noise didn't change when turning by much, but I could tell where the noise was coming from. Took it apart this afternoon and sure enough, the inside bearing on the hub assembly is grinding pretty good just turning it by hand. The outside bearing feels fine though...
While I had the wheel off, I decided to drain and fill the front diff. I can't believe how easy it is on the GMT360 platform trucks. Fill plug is about 1.5" thread and the drain plug is easy to get to without your hands being under the diff to get covered with gear lube.
