what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Cmon, you know you want too.... It'll only take a minute... time spent on here could be spent swapping those out....
What he said. It doesn't take that long to do. After you're done, grab a cold one, sit back, and admire your work. =P
Plus it is a nice day and will be a nice night!
Well today I got the k & n filter on
i changed the driver side bulb.... after testing the led taillights A bulb blew and I got lazy to take the housing back off again
I also adjusted the rear glass latch .... so far no squeek and i checked all the fluids

so last night i did some more welding on a bumper im making for the older k5. the one that is just going to be trailerd around. i havent mentioned this on here yet but its a big 3in ID stainless steel tube that weighs about 60 lbs. ive been welding brackets on it for a front bumper so im able to run anything over. lol. so far its going alright. its hard making bracket for it at class when the truck is back at my house and i cant see it im making them in the right spots or not... oh well. thats what a hammer is for lol. ill be going outside in a few minutes to see how well i guessed where the spots were and ill be putting my 78 back together today too. ill see how much lift this thing gives her lol.
Not today, but for the past week I've been emailing back and forth with PCMforLess deciding what to do. I think I'm going to jump next week (this week is being spent in florida working).
1 thing they did confirm is all 96+ blazers DO have torque management, and they can disable it.
I've also been doing an experiment, ethanol gas vs. non ethanol gas. I've only been doing city driving lately and my MPG's dropped to 10-11 in the past few months. I've checked everything and nothing is amis, and then i found a station with non ethanol gas, as soon as I switched my MPG jumped to 16 all city. that was over 2 tanks averaged. Now i had to put e-gas back in cause i couldn't get to the non ethanol place before they closed so i'll do the MPG's on this tank, and then go back to non ethanol and see if it jumps back up (if it in fact drops).
Oh, and on a side note, anyone have an opinion on Volant intakes for the blazers? I like the fact that it's an enclosed box (sorta) and is a true cold air unit. As well as being a non oiled filter. The price is a little steep but if it's better than others then i'll bite the bullet
