Replaced the MAF today, hopefully that gets my mileage back to where it should be.
Is there any "run-in, break-in" for a new MAF? I'm going to take it for a long haul, maybe 45 mins of highway.

Went out yesterday to play in the snow and all the sudden the front diff wouldn't lock. Had to wait to till today find that the hose running from the vacuum switch to the actuator dry rotter and snapped in half. Replaced it with a new hose and now it works. Guess I have to wait till the next snow storm to have some fun.

I started some of my installs, Brush Guard and Roof Basket.
Still have to paint the mounting brackets for the lights on the roof basket, mount and wire the lights on the basket and the brush guard.

Picked up some goodies this week for a great deal for my 96 Jimmy. Got a used brush guard for $40. Picked up some new moog ball joints. Got a spare tire swing out rack off a 2 door model for $20. Got matching rim for my spare for $10. Also got metal brush guards / light protectors for the rear tail lights for $10. Got to love finding good deals on craigslist. Now I just have to find time for the repainting of some items and installing everything.

finally (after mor than a year) took my head lights off and PROPERLY mounted them (clips in). also found out why my stupid halos haven't ever worked.... one had the ballast unhooked and hanging free... what ever, took the ballast off that too.

re badged my new door (blazer rocker trim panel) not too thrilled by the way it came out. PS #M auto trim adhesive is VERY unforgiving

took my egr off and re-cleaned it. found out why there was the exhaust build up around it: my gaskey had burned through. the screen was barely hanging on. new non-screened gasket is now snuggly in place on the cleaned EGR.

also wired in a 4 plug trailer harness to go with my tow hitch reciever. i THOUGHT about wiring in the trailer brakes, but decided that i didn't really want to so that got tossed back into the garage.

mounted my basket lights to the mounting brakets but found out the hardware is too short so i will need to get new bolts.

and put in my rear splash guards.

all in all it looks like a lot but i really got nothing useful done.

So the day started out with fitting and aligning the front bumper cover and grille on my truck. Then I cleaned out the truck and hosed it all down. It needed a SERIOUS scrubdown after being in the shop for over 2 1/2 years! haha Anyway, we started masking it for paint! Its getting closer to color!!

i went and got me some new tires today. I got liberator a/t 235/75/15's with 108 load index! i have not had the time to really try them out, but before I changed my tires i would need 4 wheel drive driving in 3 or 4 inches of snow, and now i went threw a snow pile of 5 or 6 inches in 2wd and didnt slip once and from what i have read about them they do half way decent off road. i think today i will get some TB cleaner and clean out my throttle body, it needs it badly
