got the HID's installed today, real good kit, no more glare than a halogen would produce in the halogen housings. has to do with the design and actually being aimed properly. I still need to aim them a bit better

5000K or 6000K?

That seems to not have too bad of glare. I usually flash the really bad ones, but you'd pass.

4300k and yeah. i hate that too, I literally walked down the block getting at different levels, and adjusting them to the point where they had the same glare as halogens. nothing more, I do not want to blind people. I just want good light with something that wont burn out in 3 months. I still need to do a bit more adjustment up against a wall to make sure both are even height wise.

You get the most usable light out of 4300k, most luminens. They are pure white. I am not a fan of the hint of blue personally

here is some video.

I know, I do visit HIDP frequently.

Edit: They warm up nice and fast too!

Yeah they do, when they have been off for awhile, its like 5-10 seconds until they are where they should. but it is like 75 degrees out. I expect it to be a bit slower once its cooler out.
Real happy with this purchase. When I first installed them, the drivers side did not work, realized it was cause the plug on the stock truck harness was corroded bad (because it was not being used with the h4 upgrade) so I cleaned it real well and now its working flawlessly.

Now onto the next mod. Once I get the small bit of body work done, I am thinking about doing some switch backs on the bumper lights.

So 4300k seems to be the way to go with HIDs. Good to know. I'm not a fan of the hint of blue, either. I want to get a set of HIDs for mine.

We have 6,000K on our Marquis, only because the place I bought them from had a choice of 8,000K or 6,000K. They're not blue at all that I can see - they look pure white in person. Either way, these are a MILLION times better than the 4656 sealed beams. Makes the stock 4651 high beams look yellow.

Washed and waxed the ride. Decided to take off the tow hooks and got them ready for some paint.
