what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
I had no choice with this one, because I'm using the '00 Jimmy Vortec, hose, and radiator, but kept the first gen alt/power steering setup. The hose hit the fan blade of the alternator whenever I gave it a foot-full of throttle. Using the stock '00 motor mounts, and they're very flexy - the engine moves around quite a bit in there. Torques about 4" to the right under hard throttle - found that out after going through MANY air cleaner spacers ...
^^^ Glad I won't be the guy working on that one!
Yeah, Tire Rack rules. I've bought over 10 sets of tires there for myself and for paying customers over the years. Lightning fast shipping. Out of all those tires, I had one bad one - the bead was mis-formed at the factory to the point where I didn't even try to mount it. Called them up, and by the NEXT DAY, I had a new tire in my hand while they grabbed the old one! Best customer service on the planet.
The shipping charges are getting a bit crazy, but that's out of their hands - that has more to do with the cost of fuel these days ...
The thought crossed my mind during the build, but being the wife's winter commuter I went with comfort over function.
Yep - the first gen mounts are quite a bit more narrow. I had to shim these mounts with washers so they wouldn't crush, or end up with slop, when I tightened the bolts. Tacked them in place so I wouldn't fight with them on install.

..............
And I have to say good things about Rock Auto and Tire Rack now. ....... And now for Tire Rack I bought a set of 4 tires at 4:50 last night and they were fricken here at 10:45 this am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap I would say that's fast shipping on their part

Today was a busy day! I started tearing down the murano and got to this point

The struts and shocks are out and waiting for the new parts to arrive tomorrow. So then I loaded up the new and old tires and dropped them at the shop to get mounted and balanced

And two more on the roof rack

Then I decided I should just go ahead and replace the strut mounts since I was already this far into it so I jumped on Advanceautoparts and found what I needed and then my online coupon for $50 off $125 so since I was at $85 I decided I would treat the blazer to a free $45 set of brake pads and I still saved $5

So I threw them on quick and now since the murano has no feet I'm drivin the blazer home tonight! Hopefully all my murano parts will be in tomorrow and ill get it back together and in for an alignment.

Today SUCKED
I woke up at 9am and went and got some pads and calipers as ive had a pulling to the left issue. replaced driver side caliper, pads and hose. Sure worked out ok.
Went to remove the studs for the passenger side. THE FREAKIN moron who mounted my tire cross threaded a nut all the way down. Upon using a 1/2" socket and a pipe guess what broke? Nope not lucky enough for the stud to snap the freakin splines on the stud stripped and the stud/lug was turning. So,i spent 2 hours running around tryin to find someone who could lend me a good drill. spent 45 min drilling it out,cut up my hand and just a bunch of crap. 5 hours later it was done after i had totally forgot to check fluid in master cylinder. ran it dry. had to bleed the whole abs system by myself. I used a cinder block to hold the pedal. once i got this bs done i,
got my subs system installed, wiring issues fixed, tailgate window fixed, tailgate lock fixed, oil change done, and fixed a door issue.
IM DONE! 9am to 5:30pm on stuff that coulda been doen in 1 hour. im doing laundry, soaked in brake fluid and grease. drinkin evan williams and surfin the forum. Somebody show me some love LOL

If it helps any Chris it took me longer to reload my grease gun to grease everything up than it did to actually change my brake pads
. It's been so long since I've loaded it I tried to put it in from the bottom and fought with the spring for 10 minutes covered in grease then realized how stupid I was and unscrewed the top and it when right in lol!

FINALLY got to work on my blazer after a month planning a wedding, starting school, working full time and going on a couple camping trips.
I had found the light rack from a UTV and mounted it up to the roof rack

plus I scored the stock wiring set up from the UTV so it is all clean looking on top

Ran all the wiring hidden under plastic, have a couple of things left to do when its lighter out tomorrow.
Also ordered a new double din head unit (non-touch screen) mainly for the bluetooth

(Yeah I was listening to Outkast, it was that kind of night)
Next on the list is to fix my exhaust, I went up and hit a couple trails and bottomed out a little on a rock and broke my mounts for the exhaust I made, so now it rattles at idle lol
And also I have an issue with my 4x4 lights. Ever since I blew my ATC fuse the 4x4 wont engage (I think, it clicks) I push 4hi or low or 4wd auto and the light just blinks at me. No codes so I am kind of stumped :/

as for the 4wd, have you tried pulling the tccm fuse for 30 minutes? reset the tccm?
Also, I am still interested in the BF decal
