Exactly how I feel about my front differential!

And then I go to open the hood, and the cable breaks. Gotta love it ...

ive got no rubber left on the front side of the arm. my tire isnt appreciating it either. Found a guy locally thats 35/hr. I think im going to let him tackle it. Ive done several of em. im just not up for it. Ive got the "new" arm. came off a 98 s10 with 100k on it. balljoint is super tight, and not a crack in any of the rubber. $25 woot.

As for your cable...guy at the auto store broke mine and didnt tell me when he checked my battery. I used a screwdriver until i sold it. i got good at it. had the hood popped in 5 seconds. lol

So far today I took off my skid plates and anti-seized the hell out of the fasteners.
Hopefully my cable for my posi-lock will be in today and I can do that also.

Fun, fun..... 40 degrees outside today......

Yeah I wish I could pay someone to do mine ... but up here minimum of $90/hr, with very few people working for themselves anymore. Oh well. The coal will serve 2 purposes this winter I guess!

Glad this is a 1st gen - I can easily get in there with a screwdriver, or a strong stick and get the thing open. Wife might not enjoy that much, but at least we can open it. After all the work I did we shouldn't need to open it anyway.

Tried welding a washer to the end of the cable, but just couldn't get the temp & feed rate right - wouldn't take. It had been working with an electrical connector holding the whole thing together for 3 years now. That part was still good - the cable itself let go. Oh well - screwdriver it is!

Such a shame I can't use my RT100 shift shaft release handle anymore. What a waste ...
