Hi everybody!

Just bought Blazer S10 - 1995. 4.3L
The question is - what gas is more appropriate for this vehicle?

Thank you in advance.

Yup, regular 87 octane is what the general recommends.

you wont gain anything by running anything over regular 87 octane, unless you are doing all highway miles (I would only use mid grade 89/90 octane for this, if the price difference is worth it) or have done some performance upgrades to the truck that require it to run a higher octane. Otherwise I would stick with the cheaper stuff.

Don't think it needs to be said again.......but just in case, 87, 89, 93 (or 91 depending on your area) will all do you fine. Find the cheapest and run it. I will sometimes run 89 because at times it is only a few cent's more then 87.

I run 89, but that's only because it seems everytime I run 87 the "check engine" light comes on...urgh! It seems to run better on the 87 though.

Try using that Octane boost and see how it runs with 87

87 octane is what I use. Every now and then I will fill up with high octane and a fuel system cleaner from lucas, that just imo cleans up the system a lil bit.
