Smile

what i did was get a 2x12 of about 12ft or so..and make it into roughly 1ft squares...i then placed stacks on either end of the tranny with the jack in the middle...i then jacked it up and added boards as needed to balance. it took me two day but i got it done
Sounds like a good idea I`ll have to give it a try.I`ll post a follow up later and let you know it works out. Thanks

Im just wondering when you installed your trans did you have any problems with torque converter getting hung up inside your trans to the point it wouldnt spin?I ask this cause I have had my trans up and almost bolted on completely only to have this problem.Otherwise I would have it finished already. This has been one of the obsticles that I have been facing on mine.

My blazer body is sitting outside of my shop on saw horses. The frame is in the shop. The axles are behind the shop. Been that way for a year while I been building up the 1/2 ton frame into a true 1 ton and designing a link system for the front.

Cool Well after the way today went

Im going to just pull the engine out and let people come out and vent their frustrations.I`ll charge $10 a wack and when its dont take it to the scrap yard.Today I get the trans jacked up and started getting it lifted into position I`ll be dammed if it doesnt fall of the jack again.NO matter how I seem to balance it I cant balance and move it into place doing it alone. Now I have doubt if the trans will even work if it did bolt on correctly.

Before Jacking it up I made sure the coverter was back all the way.I felt it go into place. So that wasnt the problem.Problem is I need someone to help me balance the trans as I get it up.My ramps are hme made and they are pretty high so there isnt realy way to lower the vehicle. For what its worth I flipped coin several times ,heads i keep it,tails I get rid of it.Landed on tails. So I look at it wondering why nothing wants to cooperate with this thing. My conclusion is the thing is telling me quit while Im ahead and just cut my losses.

Unhappy UPdate

Im getting rid of my garage that Im renting now at the end of the month and moving a few blocks away to another building. Its a storage actualy 10x15.Cost $75 a month. What happens with Jimmy after that I guess it sits till winter is over or I can afford to pay someone to install the trans. What happens after that is anyones guess at this point.
