Yeah i would talk him down or try, i might just go look at it tomorrow. But yeah Blazers here are going for 4-5k with 150,000 miles. Mine had 112,000 on it when i bought in two years ago, and i payed about $4500 but its a '97. It wouldnt cost a whole lot to fix if it is just the head gasket.

the right front end costs about $150 at a junk yard. i think it would be a fun project.
