85 Blazer air breather question?
I have an 85 Blazer that was giving me fits trying to get it to idle. While I think I have that bug fixed, now I don't know how all the vacuum line connect back into the breather. Is there anyone here who can help me out?
Also, I'm glad I found this forum. I've had my blazer for about a year now and just love it. Just a few idling issues, and a lot of rustout to repair. It was an abandoned vehicle, and I got it for real cheap!! Thanks gang. John

Hey John,
Don't go away. Sorry I never saw your post.
Being a '85 you have a air filter on top with a snorkle, correct?
Inside the snorkle is a air diaphram, it is spring loaded and draws air off the exhuast manifold while warming up. If this diaphram isn't closing your engine will idle like crap until it warms up.
Is your truck fuel injected or carb'd? If its carb'd can you tell me which version, some had this funky ECM controlled carb.
