'98 4WD S-10 Blazer Wheel Rotation Clunk When Turning
My '98 4WD with 45K miles has started to "clunk' once every tire revolution when making a right turn at any speed, including at a slow crawl. The sharper the turn, the louder the noise. I can also feel the clunk on the steering wheel or the shift selector.
The noise is nearly gone when going straight ahead and completely gone when making a left turn. This has been going on for about the last 3K miles, and is becoming worse at a very slow rate.
My initial guess is that it's an outside front CV joint because it doesn't get worse with increasing speed while turning like a typical bad wheel bearing will do. It only increases
when the turn sharpens.
What do the experts out there think??

By your description, I agree that it sounds like a left outer c/v. As you turn right , the vehicle weight shifts to the left.

Yeah, I'd have to say you've got a CV failure of one kind or another. Look for a torn CV boot cause that will often cause premature CV joint failure.
