They charge too much too. I got my info from a place called carrollton car stereo in carrollton Ga. My friend there told me what I was saying about your ground wire.

 

Best place is to ground directly to the battery.

 

Not unless your amp is 12" from your battery. But that's still up to you. I followed my friends advice and it makes a difference. But he just owns the stereo shop. So it's up to the builder. But that is also alot of wire to run from the rear to the front. And I always thought the less wire you use the better it is.

 

best place i found was under the back seat where the flaps bolt on that come down when you fold your seat down
