Default Cherry Bomb?

My Friend has a 1993 s10 blazer 4x4 with a 4.3 vortec ho and was thinking of putting a cherry bomb exhaust on it instead of a stock muffler but I heard it sounds like crap unless you use headers with it or you have a V8. Has anyone ever tried this or have any advise on this? Thanks

I'v heard my friends 6 cyl explorer with a cherry bomb, and it sounded like crap. I heard one with a v8 and its a huge difference. Although the headers may help if he's doing it.

V6's are hard to get a good exhaust note from. IMO.

My neighbor has a 90 something Dakota with a V6 with a flowmaster 40 series. Sounds ratty. Like an old Caravan with manyholes in the exhaust system.
My dented up stock muffler will be on there until it rots out. I once did a youtube search for exhausts and heard alot of these guys' V6's. I wasn't impressed.
USMaverick101 is right, V8's sound good with cherybombs/ glasspacks.

Call different shops and ask the installers for some ideas what would sound good. They would know. Good luck with your decision!!
