Question Cherry Bomb Glass pack

I just bought a 1995 S10 Blazer with 35,000 miles for $4300. This truck is a real Cream Puff. I want to put a cherry bomb on it in place of the rotted muffler and need to replace the tail pipe also. I mesured the muffler on the truck and it has 2.5 in/out diameter with a length of about 24". I can not seem to find one on the net with these specs in that length. I think they make this one with these specs only with a 29" overall length. Anyone no if can do this with the stock tail pipe with out modifications. Or maybe no of where i can get these pieces. Or storys and advice from onwers with the same truck that have modified their exhaust. Keeping in mind i want to keep cost around $100. All your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dustin

Why not just leave the tail pipe off? I put a Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler on mine. I debated between that and the glasspack for a while. I ended up going with the Turbo because it was the only one I had heard in person before.
I cut the old muffler out and put the new one in with no tailpipe. Very easy install, and you don't have to worry about measurements then. Just be sure to put a small down pipe on the back of the glasspack/exhaust to direct the exhaust downward. I did mine for $45 total. The glasspack was even cheaper I think at $35.

i do know that the tp will stick out the back an extra 5" if you're going with that 29" muffler (kinda obvious).

but Sisk is right, just dump it down on the ground. we did that on my brother's '83 Dime. wanted a super clean look-no exhaust-and didn't feel any kind of tp would do that.

and if you're gonna cut off the tp short, why not just deleate it completely?

hows interior resonance though on a blazer with the exhaust setup like that?

I was looking into a purple hornie simply because it bolts up (same flange look, never measured) I could go for the one with the dump but im concerned about interior drone at 45-70mph

so just turn the dump to the outside a bit (rotate it 45 degrees), and the sound will bounce out from under the truck, instead of hitting the ground and bouncing back up into it.

ya with loud exhaust like mine it is tilted a lil bit but still vibrates the floor board when i hit the gas pedal hard enuf. but if you still have a cat and its not gonna be that loud the turn down and slightly out should be fine. i paid only 45$ for my whole exhaust having someone else do it. he cut the old stopped up cat out and put a piece of pipe in there and put my muffler on with the pipe that runs out the back and towards the ground. gonna put me a high flow cat in soon to make it a lil quieter.

Mine isn't too bad. But then again mine doesn't have a down turn or any sort of tail pipe. It just comes out the back of the exhaust straight. It's not obscenely loud or anything, and it you can still have a good conversation inside without yelling.
I will say if you put a down turn on it though as Chris mentioned it will get louder since you're pointing the noise downward, which then bounces off the ground and reverberates off the bottom of your truck.

that is also why i mentioned turning it out to the side of the truck slightly.

I'm also looking into the CB turbo muffler. I checked out your vid on youtube but the wind was pretty bad (I'm pretty sure it was yours anyways). How accurate is that video though to your actual exhaust tone and loudness? I just want something that has a nice sound at cruising speeds and this sounds like the best option based on your videos Sisk. Theres a Borla muffler for sale around here but IDK how that'll sound on a 4.3l. I know they kickass on pretty much any car though.
