I don't have a picture, so from what I read, I would think it would be coming from the wiring harness., or you could leave it plugged in and back probe it.

I just looked at the pic in the previous post, it looks like the male end.

I got 0 ohms on two of the ports. But there is a total of 8 ports on the plug. do you what color wire I need to see the resistance on?

I don't know for sure. but from what I understand in the diagnostics chart is that if the groun signal is good, replace the encoder motor. I believe that's where you are now.
The wire for the signal circuit should be black.
I would also think that you would have 0 ohms on 2 of the wires because you have a signal ground and a motor ground, so it sounds like the wiring is ok.
Just make sure that the ATC fuse and the CTSY fuses are both good before you replace the encoder motor.

I've included a diagram of the wiring from the TCCM to the Encoder motor

I have the same problem. Out of the 8 ports how do you know which ones are the ones you need volts out of? i got volts out of 4 ports and none out of the rest. I was reading 7.3v out of all 4 but my meter may be messed up. Anyway, Should I only be getting volts out of 4 of the 8 probles and if this isn't correct what is my problem? Is it the tccm. I have been messing with this for weeks and want to get it finally figured out. When I do the grounding test my 4wd lights flash a sequence of 2 and then 3. I would think this is my encoder motor but want to be sure before I tear it out and buy a new one.
thanks
