AHHH... I cringe whenever I hear the 'B' word... Never heard anything bad about their fuel pumps though... If you don't mind my askin' what are they getting for that fuel pump unit?

The reason why I ask is because the GM part number is 25163473 and at GMPartsDirect.com, the dealer list is $152 and the GMPD.com price is $79. That's for a genuine GM fuel pump (granted with GMPD's over the top s&h). RockAuto.com carries it for $88 + s&h but it does not come with the strainer (so you'd have to either transplant the one in your truck now or buy a new strainer from your favorite autoparts store). RockAuto doesn't show that as being a replacement fuel pump when you go through their catalog, but the number came from GMPD.com and should be correct. I'd try to see what the dealership would charge for a new GM pump before grabbing an aftermarket unit.

 

The price is "free replacement" they are replacing the Carter with the Bosch under warranty.

Ah ok... Good luck with that. I really hope you don't have any more issues for years to come.

One thing to check for when you are dropping in the new pump is kinked lines anywhere between the tank and the intake.
