Default Fuel Pump Problems

About a month ago I had my fuel pump replaced at a local s&s. Since I have had it replaced my blazer at idle runs eradically like it isn't getting enough fuel , so i took it back and the tech said that it runs a little hard, but after i got to thinking. It didn't run that way until i had the fuel pump replaced. I am begining to think that they don't know what they are doing. I thought about taking it to a gm dealership and see what they say but i don't think that is my responsiblity. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT! ( I have a 2000, vin w)

Default RE: Fuel Pump Problems

Why was the fuel pump replaced? Lots of fuel pumps get replaced because the injectors ar dirty or their (INDIVIDUAL) filters are clogged.

Rough idle problems are generally in the tuneup catagory. It may be a dirty intake or egr problem also.

One more culprit might be the main fuel filter. If things were disturbed, it should have been changed. I would never spend all the bucks for a fuel pump and drop the tank without changing the filter. I always rewire the ground to the tank top better also.

If they worked under your hood at all, then something as silly as a loose plug wire could be the culprit. Perhaps they moved one too close to the exhaust or something.

Let us no more info, though.. Just guessing right now.
