i very may well be wrong, but i think as ur rpms go up the voltage or amps changes, not much i dont think, but that can pick up the changes, thus telling u the rps, and shift light
but i could be wrong

hahahaha the test thing says 0-60 is 2.93 or something. I dont even think our corvette does that lol
