Idel rpms?

what should my 1995 blazer 4.3 vortec idel at?
it idels at 1000 when i first start it but then it drops down to about 500 and it stays ideled there?[&:]

im just wondering cuz my camaro would idel at 1000 all the time
my mustang idels at 900

the miny vae idels at 1100

500rpm sounds a bit low for a cold engine, but so long as it isn't trying to stall, it should be fine. My 2000 idles at around 550-600rpm once warm, but when cold, it'll be 700-800.

i just went and started it and its ideled at 500 and sounds like a lil bit of loope in but dont try to stall and when i stomp the gas it spins and halls a$$
