Default loud pop

When taking off from fast from a stop, I get a loud pop noise from front end of my96 awd blazer. If I take off easy and slow, ther is no pop. It only happens under load.Could this popping noise be a u-joint in front end, or a cv jount?

I get the same pop sound when I stop or turn my wheel all the way. I had two places look at it and they said my cv joints are tight and they couldn't get the sound when the test drove it. They said bring it back if I hear it again. I heard it later on that day. What else could it be?

I had a similar sound but it seemed to do it on take offs and when I hit bumps, they told me everything was fine but then a few days later they told me I needed a ball joint. I don't know if that would be your problem because mine didn't make any noise while turning. It could be a very loose lower ball joint, Just my guess though.
