My blazer is doing weird things

I have a 97 Blazer LS with 4WD. My engine turned off while in park adn running. This morning my wife was on her way home and she noticed while turning on the freeway the some of the dash lights (air bag, check engine, etc..) came on once she pressed the gas everything was fine. She gets to a 4 way stop and comes to a complete stop and all the dash lights come on and the engine cuts off and starts it up and goes driving on again. Anyone know what could cause this?

You have a BAD IGNITION SWITCH in your 1997 Blazer... Very Common Problem for your year. Get it repaired ASAP
