A GM scanner is not necessary, nor is having your own scanner. Autozone, Advanced, etc will read your codes for free.

A scanner (not necessarily a GM one) is necessary to diagnose O2 sensors however.

thats cool i had no idea that autozone and advanced read them for free, kyle only problem is there aren't many on long island. what about pepboys, autobarn do they.



actually i just found an autozone near by thanx
