Default Question about the lock on the hatch

Ok, I am still getting everything done to my "new" Blazer while I am waiting on getting the engine put in. When I bought it, it did not have the lock that you turn to open the glass or door. I bought a new one with keys for it, and now it seems there is something missing from it, to keep it in place and not move around. Someone told me, that it has a "C" clip that holds it in place. I dont know, because there was not one on it when I bought the Blazer. If anyone knows what all I would need to get this put in, please let me know. Thanks,

Tim

Default RE: Question about the lock on the hatch

Yep, a "c" clip is used to hold the lock in place. Look for a groove around the new lock, that is the ring the c-clip lock into. The c-clip is also spring loaded, it puts tension on teh lock to hold it in place. Try a salvage yard for one, or check with the dealer for a new one. Can't cost but a buck or two.
