Default spark timing disconnect?!

I have a 94 Jimmy w/4.3L Vortex engine. I need to disconnect the electronic spark timing...but have no reference as to where, or what, this is. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

I think what your looking for is the ignition control module. It controls the spark timing.

Sorry brain fart. There is a wire you have to disconnect to set the base timing. It should be covered in the Chilton/Hanyes manual. I am not that familiar with it myself. I believe it runs off the back of the distriburator.
