Default Speed Chip?

I was looking around on Ebay when I spotted this:

Anyone have 1 of these?
Do they work?

Default RE: Speed Chip?

Wow... A $0.25 resistor selling for $3 + $3 s&h. What a farce. This basically tricks your PCM into thinking that the incoming air is colder than it is (actually tricks it into thinking that the air is around -40*C - brrr). It's an old, lame trick. It may give results in the first few miles it's used, but the PCM will quickly recognize what all of the other sensors are telling it and basically start ignoring the IAT reading.

This will result in lower mileage as before the PCM adjusts, it will be dumping in more fuel.

DAM THAT'S COLD. It's 95 deg. on avg. over here...lol. Well, believe it or not I was actually thinking that that thing would work (What was I thinking?).
