I hate asking this, but someone please remind me where fuel filter is on 2000 4.3 Vortec?

No problem. The fuel filter is on the frame under the truck. Loosen the holding bracket and squeeze the connector to remove it. Put a bucket under it to catch the spilled gas.

If the line is pressurized, best relieve the pressure prior to popping the lines off. I do this by pulling the fuel pump relay and attempting to start the vehicle (it may fire, but won't run). And more specifically, it is located on the inside of the driver's side frame rail. It's about the size of a soda can.
