i agree with rriddle3, just listen to the you tube videos to get an idea of how various mufflers are going to sound. i think the best bet would be a cat-back exhaust either single exit or dual with ur choice of muffler. (dual exits will be purely for looks you wont see any performance difference)

Ok pretty much catback new tubing wit my choice of muffler? I also want to go single exit.

yup just pick out a muffler you like then go to an exhaust shop to get a quote, mine was 350 with 2.5" stainless steel pipes from the cat back.

I saw alot of people using high flow cats too, does that have any effect at all?

i do beleive theyll make it sound a lil deeper, but for the prices ive seen i personally dont think its worth it.

I have a 97 4 dr that i had a custom exhaust made. The cat was bad and sounded like a skeleton beating it off in a trash can when the truck was running so i got a cherybomb high flow cat and right after it did a y pipe with dual straight pipes out the back. I wanted side pipes but the gas tank was in the way. IT SOUNDS NASTY! quiet literally when im at a stop light i always get double takes, or even the "what the he!! is that?!" its so bassey that it sets off car alarms when i drive by.

Straight pipes from the headers would be pretty nasty. I wish I still lived in Florida, no emissions!
