i just put on a dynomax ultraflow ss and i hate it, too quiet, so i just ordered a flow 40, i had a 40 on a silverado 4.3 and loved it. so if anyone wants this dynomax lemme know. its quiet good flow sounds decent but not what i want.

I might be interested, how much are you looking for it and how did you have it mounted?

i used the stock hangers and flange, welded the stock flange to the new muffler and welded it to the stock tail pipe, so it looks good just i want loud and this sounds decent but not what i want.

For anyone wanting near stock sound but better flow, a long Magnaflow/Dynomax Ultraflo or any turbo muffler is what you want. That is if you keep the stock cat. If you go highflow cat, it'll be noticably louder when you step on it but still quiet when cruising. I had Borla u-turn Turbo mufflers on my 87 Mustang 5.0 (u-turn because the previous owner wanted side exits so he bought those) and I had BBK shorty headers and a BBK offroad H-pipe, and it was still barely louder than stock. You'd think with headers and no cats and 2.5" dual piping it'd be pretty loud, but those were super quiet. Maybe it's because they were u-turn muffler, maybe it's because after the H-pipe it reduced down to 2.25" piping, who knows? At any rate, turbo mufflers are very quiet mufflers, unless very large piping and a high output motor is used.

flowmaster 44 is not loud at all, sounds pretty good too for a 4.3... i also had a dynomax before the fm, that was a little louder than stock but not much... the only loud exhaust for a 4.3 that i've heard is the cherrybomb extreme which is the same as an fm 10 series.. straight pipes are loud but u get some drone... when you're used to a semi loud 8cyl the "loud" 6cyl is actually really quiet lol

I already bought the Magnaflow bolt in replacement high-flow cat and just bought a magnaflow muffler. You guys think it should def give me better flow and a noticable difference from the stock one with a rotted out cat? 96 s-10 blazer 4dr.

You may notice a difference, you'll notice it at full throttle merging on the highway, other that that probably not. I've never been able to tell a big difference in performance but a muffler and cat swap alone, then again i've never gone from stock to both at once. I noticed a difference in my Suburban only because it has a very restrictive stock exhaust, the Blazer has 3" piping into the muffler so it flows plenty well for the motor, in fact I think 3" is a bit too large for a stock 4.3 so I go with 2.5" all the way but that's just me.

I have a magnaflow with a 2.5 in rear pipe and a rolled tip and it sounds really good. nice and deep but still agressive enough that you know its there. I like it and would recomend it to anyone

Well I just got my 2 1/2 magnaflow muffler yesterday. So when my 2 1/2 tailpipe shows up from Jegs I will hook it all up and hopefully post a video of before and after. I also got a magnaflow direct bolt in cat. I'm not going for sound because I have a 3month old son but when I get on it will be nice to hear it.
