Cherry Bomb Glass pack
#11
I had a 95' GMC Jimmy 4.3, and all i did was went to my local Advance auto parts store and got a glasspack that would fit on the truck, went home cut the muffler off, minding you i cut the pipe as close as the muffler as i could, and put the glasspack on, and left everything else stock, It sounded real good.

I just got my 89 running currently it has a cherry bomb turbo, not too bad sounds decent however I have been thinking about switching to the cherry bomb Vortex. I had one on my old Ford, sounded great many people thought it had dual exhaust when it was only single.

I hear good things about the Vortex. I hear it's a lot better then the Turbo or the Glasspack. I'd be interested to see one with the 4.3.

do they even make a glasspack thats the same length of the oem muffler? I have hunted numerous places and come up easily 4 inches shy of stock length... the longer glasspack would improve flow but lower the tone and make it not be SO raspy when "worn" in
why did GM put such a huge muffler on this vehicle really lol

Got a Cherrybomb Glasspack on mine it sounds really nice. Costs 20 bucks from autozone (free plug welcome autozone) and 30 to put on. It resonates kinda loud in the cab but sounds good to me.
Most places will weld some extra pipe on to make it meet. And they can open the ends up a little on the glasspack to make it fit as well if it's too small.
