i have a 97 bravada and im thinking of upgrading the exhaust. my question is will putting a 1994 corvette exhaust fit or could it be done without doing any harm to my bravada? Theres a guy selling a complete exhaust system for only 100$ with cats and all. is it worth a try? could it fit? if anybody can answer that would be great

 

You will have to modify it to fit you truck, cut some sections and add some bends. Not worth it.

edit: I could be wrong... but I dont think I am as they are two different body styles so they wouldnt have the same form.

 

It wouldn't be worth the trouble in my opinion. There's absolutely no way it's going to just bolt on, you'd have to hack it up and piece/weld it back together so much that in the end it would be a complete custom exhaust assembly. And there's nothing special about the factory muffler on a 94 Vette. I mean it might have a little rumble on an old 5.7 V8, but it would be nothing spectacular on a 4.3 V6. About the only "neat" factory Vette mufflers on are the one that came on the C6+ Vette's with the dual mode mufflers, basically have an integrated cut-out in them that opens up when you stomp on the skinny pedal (or can be set to stay open), but again with that, the cost and trouble to retrofit that onto another vehicle just wouldn't be worth the effort I feel.

You'd be better off taking that $100 and going to a muffler shop and having them just cut off the stock muffler and weld in the cheapest chambered muffler they have, if you're just looking for the sound output.

I'm quite fond of my Flowmaster 40 just welded in place of the stock muffler. My converter is also gutted because it clogged up after 200k and I just pulled it off and beat the innards out of it lol, no emissions tests here in the great state of Florida so I haven't had to worry about that, but if I were to ever sell the truck I'd have a new converter welded in... But it produces a good deep rumble tone at idle, almost a V8 tone but a little higher pitched, but the V6 sound really comes out after about 1500 RPMs.

 

thanks for replying i should've word it different cause i didn't mean the whole exhaust but i understand what you guys meant. i guess it'll be better to just get a flowmaster 40 series i like them too.
