Default Custom Cold Air Intake for TBI

for all the buys out there with the first gen body style blazers with the Throttle Body injection. I was browsing the internet acouple of days ago and found a way to make a Cold air intake for the TBI setup. its fairly easy. all you need to do is go to a local Junkyard and look around for a late 80's Early 90's front wheel drive Caddilac Sedan with the 4.9L V8. this will fit on top of the tbi all you have to do is grind out the hole for the stud to go through out alittle. after you do that find a 3" section of piping (i took the short ram intake off of my honda civic that i totaled which already has a filter on the end) and hooked that all together. there are some differences in each set up so each way will be different. so far i noticed alittle difference in it i get better gas mileage and throttle response so in my eyes the $16.00 i spent on it and the 15mins i took out of my day was worth putting it together. i thought i would post this up because eversince i got this truck i wanted to have a cai on it and couldnt.......unitl now so hopefully this will help someone out i will also put up the site where i got the info from too.

I'll have to do this on my K5 once the 90 5.7L TBI motor goes in.

its simple enough to do really didnt take that long. the hardest part was to find the TBI hat off of a caddy.
