eliminating catalytic converter.

Default eliminating catalytic converter.

I have a 98 chevy blazer 4.3 vortec 4wd 4dr. i am going to get new headers and re-do my whole exhaust, and in this process i want to eliminate my o2 sensor, and my catalytic converter. i just want to confir the my car will still run after i do all this?

Since removing the catalytic converter would be a violation of Federal law, nobody should advise you to do it.

You cannot eliminate the O2 sensors and hope to still have a properly functioning engine.

At least put a hi flow cat to keep it legal... On a 5L mustang on a mustang dyno, removing the cats only increased HP by 6... Not worth it to remove them...
