Post Exhaust for 99 zr2???

soo i know this question its prob like... but was looking to go from the stock 2.25 exhaust to a 2.5 either single or dual but i cant find anything of quality anywhere. does anyone have any links or suggestions on where i could get? if not i may just end up buying a 2.5 kit and building my own.

If you are talking about bolt on exhaust kit for our truck, there really aren't any. I would go custom all the way. Get a muffler of your choice, go with either pipe size (I would go with 2.5 inch if it were single in and out or 2.25 inch if it were single in dual out), and run how you want to (before the rear tire, out the back, dumped, out the back angled). This is the way most people go.

would the 2.25 dual hurt the torque? i dont know alot about cars but doesnt the low end torque get affected if the exhaust is to big or something?

Since it's not true duals and the piping is 2.25, it wouldn't hurt your torque. It is one muffler with 2 outlets. If you don't want to go 2.25 with 2 outlets, 2 inch piping with 2 outlets is also acceptable.

Gibson does make a single in to single out exhaust setup for 2-door blazers.

Your best bet though is to make a custom one yourself. Might save you a bit of cash and this way you get to pick the sound you want.

If anything you could go to a bigger pipe. Honestly you won't do anything to hurt your torque. If you stick within 3" pipe you won't be able to make any kind of noticeable difference.

I say go bigger (2.5" or 3") because going smaller will make it sound more high-pitched and larger will make it sound more like a V8ish sound.

Thanks!

I think next year when I body lift it I'll run a new exhaust. Either a single in - dual out muffler with the piped dumped somewhere underneath or a single in - single out with 3" pipes.

Just want more of a low-pitched sound. It gets pretty high when in the higher RPMs.
