Default 2000 ZR2 Exhaust issue/ help plz.

Long time lurker, first time poster and love the site, also, sorry for the long post.

Anyway, had a 99' 4x4 4Dr Blazer up till last month, have 4 others in the family and love em.

As of 2 months ago mine was wrecked and have recently bought a 2000 4x4 2Dr ZR2 model.

In any regard the cat and muffler are shot and i would like to replace them.

Im having difficulty finding an exhaust system for the ZR2 models. All sites i look at just say 2dr/4dr, 2x4/4x4. I have done numerous emails/ live chats with these sites trying to get confirmation to see if that includes the ZR2 models and they either say no, just base model, or they dont know.

Does anyone know if using a 2dr 4x4 exhaust system would work, or do i need something specific to the ZR2?

I also run the Gibson cat-back system on my '01 and very happy with both the build and sound quality of the product. According to Gibson it will fit the ZR2 model. Jeg's offers a decent price, but also check out www.discountexhaustsystems.com My system was delivered quickly to my door for just under $300.

I really like Gibson. My Bro in Law has it on his Silverado and it has a nice sound that i am looking for.

I just wanted verification that there is not a difference between the ZR2 and base S10 2 Door 4x4 blazers when it comes to the exhaust system.

My ideal set up will be Magnaflow Cat and Gibson. Both stainless.

The instruction sheet that came with my (non-stainless) system lists it as fitting the LS, LT & ZR2 2Dr models, but I'd contact Gibson and ask them directly just to verify prior to purchase: GIbsonperformance1@gibsonperformance.com

Thanks for the help everyone.

I ended up buying a Walker Cat and Gibson Cat back from Summit Racing.

Part num: "WLK 50547 & GIB 614520" Respectively.

Not horribly priced. Got the Walker for 212 and the Gibson for 443 prior to discount. Both stainless so its worth it.

Ended up getting a 15% discount from them as well because I bought a Magnaflow cat and Cat back stainless from them a few months back for my Firebird.

Now comes the hard part, waiting for it to come in...
