Default Exhaust. Bigger piping?

I am planning on doing a K&N FIPK intake on my blazer, along with headers, and a full exhaust. (Money permitting) And considering doing all this I figured that it might be helpful to expand the actual size of the exhaust piping. Does anyone have any experience with this? Pros? Cons? What diameter piping would be considered optimum? I know that most factory vehicles tend to have too small of an exhaust that decreases overall efficiency. And I don't really want to keep experimenting with different piping sizes to see what works best. So any help would be great, thanks guys.

Default RE: Exhaust. Bigger piping?

nevermind guys. Instead of waiting for an answer I went ahead a did a little research. Amazing what you can find when you look huh? lol. I read that it was acceptable to put the exhaust piping up to 2.5-3 inches. I have decided that when I go and do this I will more than likely aim for about 2.75 inch piping. I know with my 300zx that I had (n/a) that 2.5 inch piping was optimum. And considering that that was only a 3.0L I think I will add a little more to this one since of the bigger engine and all.
