Hey guys, im pretty new to the car scene. Just got my license and my first car. (95 blazer, 4x4, 4dr LT package) I dont know too much about cars and how to fix them, but i love to tinker with everything.
So, i want to make my car faster.
haha
I decided im going to upgrade, cat back, my exhaust. Im thinking of just getting the dynomax superturbo kit, for 130 Bucks, to start me off, and if i want something later, ill just get a different muffler. Anyone have any expeirence with dynomax?
Also, Headers. The only ones i could find for my car were 300$+!
A lil too much for me right now.... are there cheaper alternatives?
Thanks
Anthony

Welcome the world of Blazers (and the forum).
First off, as for exhaust, I'd suggest you have a shop do it for you. Kits are difficult to work with on blazers (expecially 4 door models because of the spare tire underneath). Browse Youtube if you can, theres plenty of clips of peeps blazers with custom exhausts (I personally have a flowmaster 40 muffler waiting to be put on mine).
As for headers, unless you have A LOT of time/money/patience I wouldn't worry about it to much.
And just a second thought, try to conserve money. These things suck down gas like no tomorrow (well atleast mine does).
:::EDIT:::
If you want a small increase in HP, go pick up a K&N air filter (about $50). I put one in mine and I noticed a decent increase in throttle responses and torque in mine (torque as in I can spin the tires easier).

oh and that system there above will cost around $350-450(depending on who you know)
jujst a thought
o btw, i have leraned when you get new pipes staring from the headers, and a high flow cat, the highflow cat can mess up your computer, which sets how much gas it feeds the engine, so do it from the cat on, but there are ways to bypass this problem, but you wont pass insection with them

Easy there Joe, there a couple members who run a hi-flow cat and I don't believe they've encountered any problems.

if u just want a new muffler i would say also get new pipes. just helps w/ better connections between the pipes and muffler. if u have time its not all that hard to do it urself makes it a lil cheaper too
