Well, I just got back from Midas, and I had a Super 40 installed on my Blazer..... I watched them install it, and they had to add an extender pipe, because the new muffler was considerably shorter than the stock. And, they lowered her, and then they fired her up.......
and welcome the utter sheer DISAPPOINTMENT!
she was quieter than stock. she had no loud rumble when she started up, and you could barely even hear the idle. I told the installation techs that it was not what I had expected.
he blipped the throttle a bit, and she had a louder than stock growl, but it was very mild. Driving home, she had a nice rich tone to her, and you could hear it nicely.....
I was just hoping for a nice deep rumble at startup and idle...
oh well.

this is weird cause my bro got the 40 on his 4 cyc s-10 and it improved sound (ALOT) and performance............ Think they could have screwed up somehow on the install?
