Headers & Fuel Injection ?

Headers & Fuel Injection ?
I recently purchased an '85 K5. It has a carb and some rusty, cheap headers. The engine is a GM Goodwrench crate motor but I am unsure of which one it is. Soooo...being the noob I am to the Blazer, I have 1 million questions but just wondered if anyone knew:
[ol][*]Can I put on fuel injection?[*]Any idea what info I need to find on the engine (model, block code, something else?) that will identify the particular engine?[*]I need a set of headers that will pass emissions. Any suggestions? I've used JBA and SLP headers before on emissions type engines. Any others you may suggest?[/ol]
Thanks for helpin' out the NOOB!!!

RE: Headers & Fuel Injection ?
Well first things first. You need to identify the size of the motor. I am guessing it is a V8 so it could be anywhere from a 305 to a 454 lol, we really need to know the size of the motor before we can help out too much.
Although I do know that there are some kits out there for old carbureted motors to make them fuel injected, that could be what is linked to in the post above I didn't look.
And as for headers, I believe that most headers will probably work fine for you. Emissions restrictions weren't that tough on the 80's vehicles.

RE: Headers & Fuel Injection ?
OK, I"ve done some research and found that I have:
Engine Name: 350 LM1
Horsepower: 265 HP @ 5,000 RPM
Torque: 304 Ft/Lbs @ 3,500 RPM
Compression Ratio: 8.50 to 1
Block: 4 – Bolt, 2 Piece Rear Seal, 4.000” Bore
Crankshaft: Cast Nodular 3.480” Stroke
Heads: Cast Iron, 76cc
Valves: 1.940” / 1.500”
Camshaft lift: 0.390” / 0.410” Hydraulic
Duration @ 0.050”: 195° / 202°I also found out that the headers on it are Thorley headers (found the receipt) and while they look bad, they aren't that bad spec wise. I think I'll pull them off, get a nice set of gaskets and Stage 8 fasteners and get them coated.
So, all I gotta figure out is what TBI unit will work with this engine.
