Default Idea for Duals...

I recently had a post inquiring about duals for my 1992 K1500

https://blazerforum.com/m_43286/tm.htm

Asking if anyone know who made ad dual opposite side exit cat back for my truck, it appears as if someone welded a Y-pipe after the cats to two mufflers on either side where it exited either side as well and I would like to replace it as its starting to rot out.

My question.. would it be cheaper for me to:

1. Buy 2 new stainless mufflers ($100 each) and a new stainless cat with a single inlet and dual outletts (also $100) for a total of $300 and having a muffler shop bend up four stainless pipes and hang the system.

-or-

2. Buy 2 new staionless mufflers ($100 each) for a total of $200 and having a muffler shop weld up stainless a Y-pipe and two stainless exit pipes and hang the system.

I guess im just asking if a new stainless cat and two simply bend stainless pipes costs more than reusing the old cat and bending and welding up a stainless y-pipe
