Question Intake Vs. New Filter

How much of a difference will a cold air intake make? i am looking at a K&N model. but i was thinking, would it be THAT much different then solely putting in a K&N filter?

How much horsepower will a 250$ intake really add? and is it worth it, over a 30$ filter, by the same company?

the horse power gains from a $250 k&n CAI is no more so than a $30 3" chrome CAI from ebay. then put $30 into a cone filter by k&n and $18 into a dry charger sock for it so you can ford rivers and you are still up $170

On their website it claims a 7HP increase if I recall correctly. Get another one from ebay. My gf just got me this for valentines day.

If you want, get the k&n cone filter for that, and then you basically have a k&n cold air intake for under $100.

its 7.42hp at 3500 rpms is what they told me
not trying to be a smartass, .42 really isn't that big of a jump either.

Neither is 7HP. And how many times do we take our Blazers over 3500rpm?

that "heat shield" wont do sh*t for you as far as blocking out anything but heat from the sun on the hood in your driveway....

to show the shape of what will block out engine heat (and save $30 in the process) click here to see the whole process i went through
