intake w/ bodylift?

Default intake w/ bodylift?

i just bought a k&n intake for my truck and im reading the instructions and it says this kit is not designed for vehicles with body lifts. im planning on putting a 2 in body lift in it soon that i bought already can i still put the lift kit in with the intake cause i know others have done this already what do i need to do to make this work

With the K&N kit there is usually the heat separator that will need to be modified. Not a big deal as you just need to elongate the hole down 2". Filling in the upper 2" is optional.

so your saying i need to just put the hole in a different location on the heat shield when i put the lift kit in do i need it up 2 in or down 2 in

the heat shield is connected to the core support so after you install the body lift the hole will have to be elongated down 2" as AJBert said in the previous post.

ok i see you take the piece you cut out and attach it in the open area that it should be in? and move the tube down 2in
