Default K&N filter

Gentlemen (and Ladies),
I'm sure some of you have answered this question more than a few a times, but I'm new, so please bear with me. I have a '98 Blazer 4DR and am thinking about adding the standard K&N intake filter set up. Has anyone come up with any specific numbers on improved gas mileage? I'm doing it because it needs to be done, but I'd like to have the numbers just to see. Plus they'll appease the "ball 'n chain" when I talk fuel savings. Thanks.

nothing noticiable unless you help it exhale better.

Are you talking the drop in k&n or the full intake? I put an intake and exhaust and seafoamed it and I'm seeing 4 right now with dirty old plugs new plugs I'm guessing 5-6 but thats also with an exhaust. I still have the stock cat on there too, aseems to be doing alright.

randonhero79, is the resonance from that 40 series flowmaster overwhelming inside your Blazer? Mine is still a family vehicle and as such I want to be able to carry on a conversation while other folks are inside. If I'm riding alone I'll never hear it over the stereo, so there's no worry...
