looking fo more horse power
Call around to a few of the major cam companies. Most of them have exceptional tech lines. But I warn you, you have to have realistic expectations and know what you want to get out of it in the end. Just saying "as much hp as I can" is not going to cut it. Where do you want the power? What do you want to accomplish with said power? etc.etc.etc.
i know a guy that had "too" big of a cam as in hp and he runs nothing but premium. his is a bronco and he's got problems with knock on lower octane. don't know if you'll run into that with these blazer since they have knock sensors but i thought it be something worth mentioning.
I also found this and its way i done the mod on the tb http://marine-performance-parts.com/...lv6vortec.aspx
I'm sorta hijacking here... so then the throttle blade off the 350's wouldn't be to my benefit if I were to do that swap? I remember reading somewhere (on here) that the 350's were a little shorter (the diverter flange)... So I'm guessing there's no point in running to the pick-n-pull to get one? Just a waste of 5 bucks?
If you change the cam out for one that peaks higher in the RPM range, increasing the airflow needs of the engine, having a lower deflector on the throttle blade may provide further gains while still dispersing the EGR gasses properly in the intake.
When i frist done the mods i feelet more power but know I think that the maf sensor has went hay wire like his done so im going to buy the aftermarket one that will slove the issue. I will try the sensor and post on it says 10-15 horse so that should be power i can feel.
