1/2 ton tbars
Hello-
I had a 1/2 ton z71 and lifted it with torsion key replacement and blocks in the rear and a body lift... I know have a 98 s10 blazer and wondering if I can replace the s10 torsion bars with 1/2 ton bars to gain lift?? I am thinking that maybe the lengths are different but I wanted to ask this question...
Thanks for your help!!

You will not gain anything. You can exceed the safe limits of the rest of the suspension with the stock bars and keys. Lift too far (>2"), and you will be chewing up ball joints and CV shafts. 2" is about the limit on good stock bars with stock keys.

Just crank your t-bars to gain about 1.5" of front end lift.

I have been reading the forums and it seems that the cv angles get to be too much after 2 inches... Does anyone know if the cv's and ball joints are interchangable with 1/2 tons to beej them up a little bit?? may seem like a dumb question but I am just trying to learn about the Jimmy I now have..
Thanks guys!!
Thanks guys!!

I would like to know if the bars will fit as well. I want to run the bars to make up for excessively heavy "grill guard" and/or snow plow in winter months. My front is deffinately sagging from the abuse. I know the ride will be much firmer. I did research somewhat and found that the lightest 1/2 ton tbars are rated 3900lbs. Ours are for 2900lbs. Also all 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton bars are interchangeable. So. Do they fit? He asked that but nobody answered...

No they do not fit, nothing interchanges from a fullsize to s-series without major mods as answered in post #6 that I guess you over looked.
Where are you pulling your numbers for s-series t-bars at? Here are 5 of the options for s-series, the lowest one is left out.
